Inaugural Huntington Summer Lecture to Explore Art, Nature and the Divine Feminine.

Internationally renowned cultural thinkers and artists gather at Huntington Castle for a landmark new event on August 22^nd 2026.

Huntington Castle will host the inaugural Huntington Summer Lecture on Saturday, August 22^nd 2026 from 3pm to 5pm. This marks the launch of what promises to become a significant new fixture on Ireland’s cultural calendar.

Kindly sponsored by Neavie and Conor Devine, the event brings together leading voices from the worlds of contemporary art, culture and critical thought for an afternoon of discussion and reflection.

The lecture, titled Of God, Goddess, and the Magical World of Nature, will feature internationally acclaimed curator and writer Ekow Eshun, curator and museum leader Rachel Thomas, curator and critic Pádraic E. Moore, and acclaimed artist Clare Ormerod.

Set within the historic surroundings of Huntington Castle, the programme will explore the rich intersections between contemporary art, nature, spirituality and cultural identity.

Through a series of conversations and insights, speakers will examine how artists and cultural practitioners engage with themes of belief, mythology, ecology, gender and humanity’s enduring relationship with the natural world.

The event is uniquely rooted in Huntington Castle’s long-standing role as a place of cultural exchange and its internationally recognised association with the Fellowship of Isis, one of the world’s foremost spiritual movements centred on the Divine Feminine.

Against the backdrop of one of Ireland’s most intriguing historic estates, the lecture invites audiences to consider how ancient traditions, mythological narratives and connections to nature continue to shape contemporary culture and artistic expression.
